As far as you comment is empty of name, and that it's following my message, I guess that you were talking of me?
I'm a noob?

Please you and Cutmanmike, it's not the place for a flaming activity...
Plus, you're out of topic.

Uhhh... I don't know about you, but glowing armour helmets, vests, and glowing bottles are NOT pleasing to the eyes.

Not only do they not make sense, they're just simply tasteless effects.

(Hey Slayer, no offense or anything, your lights.wad is cool and all but some of the effects are simply out of taste heh. Plus I still love SLADE and SLumpEd )

They are just simply taste effects. :D

All the tastes are in the nature, right?
So, I perfectly understand that you don't like those effects, but you have to understand that other users will be pleased.

It's easy enough to remove the lights you don't want. Yeah I know they are kinda overkill, but they look pretty :P

Anyway I've updated lights.wad a bit here:
http://mancubus.net/~slayer/crap/lights.wad

I've reduced some lights, improved some (imp fireballs, caco fireballs, plasma, arach plasma) and changed the explosion lights so they reduce in size rather than increase. Also you can uncomment the spectre definition for an interesting effect :P

Yay for undocumented features! What else do we not know?

(Hmmm... this could be used to create blob shadows... cool stuff man)

Did you make the wad in this topic? No.

I tried doing that for shadows, but they got way too dark in dark sectors, plus they would darken the sprite if 'lights affect sprites' was on, which looked stupid.

Do you have pleasure to be unfriendly with guys doing their best to share with us their work?!?
You are not pleased with it? It's YOUR taste!!!
And even: it's not a reason to flame him.
He is... He WAS quite surely happy to offer to us this wad.
Instead of giving thanks to him, and telling him what he could do to improve his work, you're harassing him with bad comments and giving him names!!!
It's not cool!!!

Even your comment quoted upper is unpleasant... :?

Some times ago, Paul said me gently that I wasn't friendly on one of my comments, and he was right. It's great to have buddies like him, advising you when you're over some limits, the ones giving us the pleasure to be a part of a community centered on the same subject...

Hey man, be cool: we are all loving the same game, and we are doing our best possible.
Peace!

What a great news!!!
Thank you a lot for this new gift, SlayeR.

And yes: they look pretty... ;)
Thanks God, you weren't not pissed off by some of the comments of this thread. Some men have the feeling to be important when they are negative or when they write like if they were a reference of a good taste or of intelligency and knowledge. But they appear to be more like if they were assholes than anything else.
Thus, I don't think that they are really what they appear to be...

Anyway, I tried this new version, and I like it !!!!!!!
I was crying all day long because this pwad wasn't yet updated, and I won't cry anymore, yep man!
Thank you again!

Yeah I meant to start on it ages ago, but I don't really have much interest in strife, so it never got anywhere.

I would have played it of it had co-op support (unless it does now?)
