I'm trying to make doors that slide sideways using polyobj start, and anchor, however when trying to orientate the angle of the polyobj things. I put "polyobj start" spots at 90 and 91 for their angle, and also the anchor points. I reference them to mirror each other with the start line, however when I go to save map, or test it, the nodes builder hangs and it will not work. Any ideas on what I'm doing wroing?? The polyobj start spots are susposed to be facing the way you want them to move correct? That is why I have them at 90 and 91 for their angle. I build them in the map vertically vs. horizontally with an angle of 1 and 2. I did everthing just like in the Zdoom sliding door tutorial except have the different numbers for my angles. I can't get the map to build nodes.. please help!
edit. Ok, I mess around with it a little more. It turns out I didn't have the sidedefs set as one sided for my polyobj's. I did that and the nodesbuilder works now, however not it says "cannot find polyobj 90" when I try to run the map. On the Zdoom tutorial Testdoor.wad it has the polyobj start and anchor points exectly on the linedef, however when I do it on my map, it says that the start point is not in the map. I don't know what the deal is with that either.
edit 2...well, I changed the polyobj's back to 1 and 2 respectively and it worked. Apparently the angle of the thing doesn't have anything to do with which way it will move. Trial and error...that's how you learn I guess
