Greetings, fellow something-or-anothers. I shall proceed to the problem at hand and avoid any insane introductions.
My mod, Zero Tolerance, is nearing completion. The current version sports a 100% fully-functioning HUD, except for one not-so-minor problem with an overly-hyphenated description. For no apparent reason, many of my custom HUD font-displays refuse to appear in GZDoom, but they work flawlessly on standard ZDoom. I have narrowed the problem down and condensed it to a tiny example wad, so as to neither spoil the HUD nor require an unnecessarily-large download.
So, what I am wondering is why the "icons" work fine in standard ZDoom but are rendered invisible in GZDoom. If this problem is solved, I can fix my HUD from there. Is there something wrong with my fontdefs that GZDoom hates, or is the program itself the cause? Either way, I find it unnatural that only GZDoom displays the problem... Bug or Oversight?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

- Try in ZDoom first, then GZDoom. Something's missing...

Ah, thank you. I did not realize this problem existed in that version, so as long as I'm not doing anything wrong, this should work with the next release.
In that case, is it also safe to assume that scaled menu graphics will work flawlessly in the next release as well? If so, I can mark off a couple more things off Zerot's buglist... permanently this time.
