[fixed] Crash report

Post by Vaecrius »

If needed, here's the batch file I used:

Code: Select all

@echo off
slige2 -doom2 -minlight 96 -bimo -macho 62 -map12
gzdoom -nomusic -file slige.out -warp 12 -skill 4
EDIT: This happens just as the progress bar maxes out and I'm about to get the GZDoom screen. It seems to happen randomly and might be reacting to the Slige level.

It crashes while formatting a text and I can't see how the map can be responsible. Maybe one other of the WADs you autoloaded?

I tried duplicating the crash with

Code: Select all

c:\doom\gzdoom -warp 01 -nomusic
but it won't appear. I haven't changed anything in my skins folder since.

The crash seems to appear only when I have two or more documents open in MS Word 2000. Might that be related somehow?

I have no idea what's causing it. All I can say is that it happens while formatting a multi-line text.

Oh well, it's pretty low priority as far as crashes go seeing that it only happens under one specific set of circumstances. Just figured I'd bring it to your attention nonetheless.

Hey Lemonzest, can you try this:

Get a map where the starting sector marked as a secret area. Start up GZDoom with a -warp to that map. Do this once with the map marked as map01, and once with the map marked map(whatever) making sure you -warp to that specific map both times. Then try it again with the -warp pointing to some other map and then going to the map after GZDoom has started.

From what I've seen, you should get the crash anytime the -warp results in your starting GZDoom already in a secret area.
