Video card or GZDooM?

Post by Hellraiser777 »

I have a problem with GZDooM -- the latest version. I get a black like 'sector' (even in DooM 2) and it ends up lagging the game (and make it "not responding" eventually). So I downgraded to 1.0.22 for now. I have an ATi Radeon x1300 Pro 256MB PCI-E and I never had this problem before.. is this my Video Card or is it GZDooM?

Heres the picture:

If you look to the left, you'll see what I'm talking about, I got this picture with fraps -- sadly, GZDooM died afterward. (No GZDooM Based error, just died.. not responding.)

And this happened after I deleted zdoom-owner.ini so don't tell me to delete it >:|

It's difficult for me to see the problem you are describing, even in the magnified picture. Rather than being "black" it appears as if there is texturing similar to the column on the right.

One way to check if it's your video card is to play some other game that supports OpenGL. If you consistently get no lag then perhaps the problem is with your installed version of GZDooM.

Well I can tell its not my Video Card then, maybe its the newer GZDooM that ain't working with my video card? *shrugs* The said installation was a fresh download from GZDooM's website.
