Hexen with CD Music

Post by zatos »

Well I've been digging around, supposedly ZDoom and GZDoom somehow support CD Music. If what I read is true. There were no instructions so I'm not sure how to do this.

I've also read it's possible to use XWE to insert MP3/WMA files. I'm looking at that right now but it looks a little bit complicated and I'm not even sure what tracks would correspond with the file names anyhow.

Any help on this is appreciated!

Thanks

I can't help you with the CD Music question, but in XWE you can open the wad and double-click on the Music button in the task bar at the bottom. This opens up a browser window from which you can select your music file(s) to insert. After you've made your selection click on the Open button on the browser window, and Voila! the files are inserted.

I don't know the names of the tunes, but I believe that if you open Hexen.wad in XWE you ought to be able to get the names. Also, the MIDIs from Hexen and other games have been ripped and are available here.

You have to put cdtrack n in the MAPINFO lump, where n is a number. It is like this by default for hexen's MAPINFO lump.
