Texture Disappearance in GL

Post by Quakeman224 »

I started using GL and didn't notice anything, yet. I was playing Doom 2 Map16 and in this one area, the texture disappeared.

Then I played Strife has the same thing.

Any idea what could this be? or is it just a Error standardly?

Thanks

What's your hardware specs?
And the coordinates in the maps?

The coordinates in Doom II MAP16 are:

X: 133
Y: 1607

Also, the textures appear fine for me.

I need the GFX card specs. As it is I only can assume that your card has some problems with OpenGL.

well its only Doom GL that is bugged up, I use GL for everything, Quake 2, Q3A, Half-life. and Doom is the only one that gives me bugs.

And do you know how to get specs?

You should be able to see what card you have in the Windows Display properties.

Right click My Computer, then choose Properties.

Open the tab named "Hardware".

Click on the button named "Device Manager".

Expand the tree named "Display adapters" and see what it says there.

I know what you mean now. one error, and I hate my parents on this, my computer doesn't have my XP account on full access so, I have to get my parents to do it.
