GZDooM Locking Up [r75]

Post by Hellraiser777 »

I know revision r75 might not be to-date with the SVN, but this might affect the SVN as well. (Not to mention I'm too lazy to constantly update / compile GZDooM, let alone know how to do it)

I've been working on a custom wad, namely using sprites, sounds, and decorate. When I try to load this wad in GZDooM (IWAD: Ultimate DooM), during the BSP 'creating' process, GZDooM locks up and literally locks up my system, where I have to wait a good five minutes for my cntrl+alt+delete window to pop up, to end GZDooM, which is trying to use 1.75 GB of memory, I only have 2GB. Also, I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium.

I loaded up GZDooM normaly, Ultimate DooM.. Loaded in fine, but with my wad, it locks up. I've gone through the wad, I haven't noticed any problems that can relate to GZDooM Locking up.

I would provide a bug dump, but can't, as I have to end the process through Task Manager. Will provide the wad, if I did miss anything.

Edit:
I'm going to try this with my favorite version of GZDooM: 1.1.0, see how it acts.

Edit #2:
Apparently its the wad.

Edit #3:
I found the problem. I'll ask for a feature request about this. It was a 'run away decorate'
