Sigh...

Why can't people read the bug reporting guidelines before posting. Please do that and post all relevant information. Otherwise I'll close this report because I can't reproduce it.

Well, what can I say more about this ...

I start up DOOM2 with GZDoomR494, I go through MAP01 shooting the former humans. The door opens to let the two imps out. I do battle with them. The imp in the cage fires its fireball and the transparent texture turns opaque. The same thing happens in MAP04 when the former humans in the cage above the platform start firing.

demofile

I played MAP01 about thirty times and 4 times that transparent part stayed opaque.

Hopefully, this is of assistance.

Well, I don't get the effect when trying to do it manually nor when trying to get it using the demo. However, when using the demo, I get a crash after I quit.

What I usually do is, I take the ini file from a previous svn install (in this case from r473) and copy it, so that I don't have to setup my keyboard and mouse options again. So, I deleted that one and let GZDoom generate a fresh ini file.

Now that transparent texture stays transparent. :D

I never noticed any problems before, when I reused the ini file. Are ini files of older svn versions incompatible with new svn versions ?

Update your driver. You got the same broken version I also had some problems with. What happens is that the shaders aren't compiled properly and cause errors. If you update to 190.62 or the latest beta the problem should go away.

Regarding the INI, normally they are compatible. But it may be that some obsolete setting interfered somehow.

It did.

In future I will keep a closer eye on the ini files.

Thank you.
