Windows 7 ?????

I've been trying to run zDoom and gzDoom on Windows 7 with zDoomLauncher3 but whenever I launch the system freezes with a black screen and I have to unplug the PC before I can do anything else. I know I have all my files in the proper places because I ran the game with much success on XP. How can I run my favorite game on my new PC?

Any other information about your system spec? Apparently there is a problem with the ATI drivers which can cause a problem similar to what you describe.

The video card is a Radeon or ATI HD 5770 and the OS is Windows 7 64 bit. I have the exact same problem with some other games, including Doom 3.

Ok, in that case it's definitely a driver or hardware issue.

The latest ATI drivers for Radeon cards seem to have a problem with GZDoom, if you have driver version 10.2, downgrade to version 10.1, I've tested it and it works fine.

If Doom 3 also has problems with this driver maybe that will pressure AMD to fix it quicker...
