[r974(978)] No automap

Post by printz »

Simply put, the automap is completely absent, like in this screenshot. It doesn't happen in ZDoom, just in GZDoom. Does anyone else have this issue?

No, works fine for me. What graphics card and driver version do you use?

On this older computer: GeForce FX 5200. I did recently have to upgrade the driver, because Doom Builder 1 was crashing the system with a BSOD. System is Windows XP, updated driver is v175.19. Other unrelated strange things have been happening since (such as WinMBF killing off DirectX), so I guess I've fucked up.

It looks like that driver does not draw lines. Strange...

I've been using 196.21 for ages, works awesomely. Older drivers don't always match up to the card's actual capabilities. (For instance, farther back than 16x and I get no shader support, even though the card is capable.) They can also be buggy.

Also, I was getting bizarre program crashes with the newest driver. I'd stay away from that one.
