GZDoom textures crash.

Post by ::Bloodfury:: »

Hi!

Has anyone encoutered following error during gameplay, it occurs entering certain areas of the map (crossing linedef or opening doors etc.)
and then the engine renders off all graphics, sprites and leaves the 3d construct of the map, with various color of stripes.
This error has occured to me in "The Refinery" and "Ultimate Torment and torture" and some other various pk.3 and wad files..
I have tried to bypass the problem by restarting the game, even noclipping, nothing helps.

Also noticed when using noclip to look through the map, the sectors are mirrored upside down and look correct below, where they should be.

And here is a screenshot what happens.

What are your system specs and the version of GZDoom you're using?

I do remember a loooooooong time ago seeing effects like this. To put a rough "date" on it, I think it was around about the time when ZDoom support for Strife was coming on-stream. Probably not the same cause though. I haven't seen an effect like this, or seen anyone else mentioning it, for years though.

Of course, one of the first things to do would be to check that the problem still occurs with the newly released 1.8.5

If it does, then please supply the information that Blue Shadow asked about (i.e. hardware/system specs, particularly graphics card).
