I'm not sure if this is ATI specific, but when switching to Software Mode while using a resolution that is not the same as the desktop.. there are hordes of display corruption. Setting the mode back to OpenGL at this point does not help this problem.
Edit: Upon further research, this is probably an ATI problem.. as I experience a messed up GZDoom... it seems to "fix itself" if it is set to OpenGL mode and using the current desktop resolution. Quitting out of a messed up GZDoom would have no problems if the mode is still OpenGL or the software mode resolution is the same as your desktop. What I'm experiencing is lots of texture corruption with this bug.
This bug seems to specifically manifest itself under the following conditions:
You are switching from OpenGL to Software mode.
You are running a resolution that is NOT the same as your desktop.
There is something done (some sort of secondary change) that seems to cause the display corruption
There is no problem when you are changing from OpenGL to Software mode when the resolution is the same as the desktop...
