All versions - Title pic distorted

Post by Caligari_87 »

In almost all the later verisons of GZDoom, the titlepic is badly distorted, no matter if it's the original game or a PWAD. The credits screens are fine, though.

I'm using an ATI Radeon 9200, if that has anything to do with it.

Works for me (though I have texture filtering disabled)...can you get a screenshot (like using an external screenshotter like FRAPS or something)?

Oh, wait, I have mipmapping and anisotropic filtering on.

Turning off the mipmapping seems to fix it, but still, this should be a bug.

EDIT: No, changing the filter mode fixes it for the session, but it's there again when I restart GZDoom.

Works for me (with texture filtering on.) Have you checked the settings of your graphics driver? Occasionally they can have strange effects.

I've tried playing with a few, but it doesn't help.

On another note: I can't get multisampling to work either; all I get is "no valid pixel formats found".

Sprite edge smoothing doesn't work either.

Sounds like a weird video card and/or driver combination problem. o_O

Obviously something is very wrong here - but it's not a GZDoom problem, so...

Make sure high quality is set for Mipmapping/Textures for the CCC or ATI Control Panel. It may also help to set application preference to Anisotropic Filtering as well in the CCC/Control Panel.

It would be nice if you gave more info... such as the CATALYST version you are using.

Multisampling... that's limited to 2 and 4, but then again.. you should have set AA to app preference in the CCC or ATI Control Panel and see if that helps (forcing it might be causing problems)
