In original Doom & Doom 2 there was a cheat that would display the monsters as green arrows on the automap.
Hereby do I request that feature for GZDoom, too :)

PS: If it's already there, ignore this feature wish and please tell me how to enable it. :D

Open the console and type

am_cheat 2

If you want to see the actors' bounding boxes, type

am_cheat 3

In fact, you can also do it just the same way as you could with Doom2.exe - go to the automap and type iddt twice.

Also, for completeness:

am_cheat 1 = iddt

am_cheat 2 = iddt iddt

am_cheat 3 = new enhanced mode that shows item sizes as well as position

am_cheat 0 = remove the cheat effect

And furthermore, there's a lot of am_*color CVARS that allow you to configure the colors for different types of items.
