[no]Something to do with Translucency

Post by Zeg-Vok »

Could there possibly be a way to get another blending mode based off of Translucent to get rid of the changing of translucency levels that overlapping produces? I personally always considered it an eyesore, and thought it would be a nice thing to have to stoip the overlapping and just make certain translucent object, like those shown in the pic, just form into 1 translucent shape of sorts.

If Im difficult to understand, Im sorry.

Not without complex masking, I don't think what you want to achieve is possible...

It would be nice to have, for sure, but sadly there is no easy way to render this stuff.

Just be glad that translucent things overlap at all! There are some games where I've noticed that translucent things will NOT overlap (one will draw, and the other under it will not... It's a sorting problem)
