Something to indicate that a map is loading.
In most cases this isn't an issue, but with larger maps it would be nice to know my computer isn't frozen.

Bring back the flashing disc icon or something similar.

No chance I am adding this. Besides, the delays come from building the GL nodes so it would be wrong anyway.
