Setting Railgun Particles to ADDITIVE

Post by Eriance »

The railgun particles would look cooler if it had a additive translucency instead of a normal translucency for it's particles. Or maybe an Argument that allows the person to choose the style?

Yes, that ould be good. Sparks probably should be too. Surely they are meant to be bright - but they look very dull in dark areas. Probably not fountains though - although additive alternatives, or some flag or something to make them additive would be welcome.

I'd also still like to see the square replaced with a nice sprite like Timmie did for ZDoomGL.

If you've seen any of the stuff that SolarSnowfall has been doing, a great deal of what many people want from custoom particles can already be done very nicely. The biggest problem is the performance hit when many are used.
