Shader option for fuzz renderstyle?

I think it would be cool to see an invisibility effect similar to a Predator's invisibility effect. What do you think?

In case you can't tell what the image is about, well... look closely and you'll see a figure blended into the background using refraction. If you've ever seen any of the Predator movies then you would know what the effect is like.

Maybe you can try implement a refraction shader or something? Metal Gear Solid for the PSX had such an effect when the player uses the stealth suit, so the effect isn't exactly new hi tech stuff or anything I think...

I believe when Doom was being coded, the original intention of the fuzz effect was to sort of distort the background behind the spectre and I think it worked really well, especially back then when playing in 320 x 200.

If this can be implemented, then of course it would be an option in the OpenGL menu.
