[fixed][0.9.3] Unexplainable dynamic lighting bug

Post by LK873 »

A screenshot might work better...:

Look where I'm standing compared to where the light "appears" to be coming from...Gah it's hard to explain :( Maybe the screenshot makes sense

[edit]
Also note it took me about a minute to line this shot up JUST RIGHT. try going to that same spot and walking around that little area for a second and you'll notice it for a second.

I took this out of something I'm doing as it demonstrates pretty damn well the problem I'm trying to show you.

Just walk around the vents and observe how messed up the dynamic lighting on sprites are.

Fixed. This was caused by fixed point overflows. After converting the distance calculation fully to floating point the problem went away.
