Gradient based shading for linedef

Post by Yangguang »

If each linedef could have a gradient based pointer, it would both look better and perhaps this is an easier solution to having some kind of shading. This would perhaps however require you to talk with Gherkin who is making Doom builder 2 at the moment.
Maybe the sectors could have as well, but that would indeed be trickier, but either is better than none. It would both be faster for mappers as well as look better ingame.

I already have plans for per-vertex lighting but they'll have to wait until DB2 comes out because it'll need UDMF map format.
