r296 (possibly all) Weapon always bright when firing.

In GZdoom, when a weapon's flash state is shown, the whole weapon goes bright, not just the flash graphics. This is different to Zdoom and doom.exe

Is this still in? It's a remnant from very old times when lighting the weapon sprite didn't work properly.

Am I the only person who thinks the "bug" that makes the whole hand light up looks better than the abruptly-cut "normal behaviour"? :P

No, I think that the pistol looks better this way too and the original looks pretty bad. However, the bug does mean that it's also impossible to make good looking weapon with little bits that light up with the flash. ;)

I think we can blame id Software for that one. But I agree with you, Nash, so the answer is no, you're not the only one. :)

Yes, please fix. My HUD graphics would look nicer if I could depend on this behavior in both engines.
