Question about moral standards

Post by Pluck101 »

Whether or not you're considered a "weird person" does really not classify the question as one of "moral standards".

But in answer to your question, I'd say no, it does not make you a weird person. In fact, oddly, it's actually quite innovative in that thinking-out-of-the-box way.

I've actually designed the homepage (the one outside the forum, at http://www.drdteam.org) to be a good Doom-like starting point, mainly as a convenience to people who wanted to go from our site to other Doom-related sites. I don't know if anyone has ever used it that way, I don't track home page hits that much, but it's set up that way if they wanted to.

Having the forum itself as your home page? Definitely not weird. Every day when I come home from work or wake up before going to work, I usually hit the DRD forum, ZDoom forum, and Skulltag forum.

Heh, I have the zdoom news page as my homepage in my linux VM... However that's entirely because I hated the default homepage and I had nothing better :P

At least Google has a "cool" factor, when compared to others. Yahoo!, for example, which is what my homepage is.

Google is so trite, I recommend Cthuugle as a homepage instead.

I have Yahoo! as my home page myself, answering the question, I don't think weirdness can be measured just by what your homepage is IMO.

So say your homepage was... http://www.howtostalkpeople.uk or whatever would that be more weird than http://www.yahoo? See weirdness CAN be measured by ones homepage
