I have has talks with alot of people using MSN, and they don't like the newer menus (idk if they are like that is zdoom aswell).
i have had a few people complaining about the sound menu.
they complain that you cannot, mute or lower the volume of all midi, or external mus while the opposite is at different volume.
also, another thing i also don't like, which the same with other people, they don't like the GL menu.
I have had talks with them, and agreed for me to ask to change it back to the old layout (looks at st97d and much older zdoom), but where it has the submenus, instead, have them as sections like the keybinds are divides into sections.
oh, and also, a personal one, could the menu that disables the GL system in gzdoom be moved to the bottom of the list? because i keep accidentally turning it off, when i am used to st97d's 1st menu in the gl menu is the dynamic light menu.

Re: Older Menus
I disagree with this entire suggestion. The menus are fine. It just takes some getting used to.

Re: Older Menus
The only one I'd agree with is putting the "disable GL systems" one in a place less prone to accidental validation, or alternatively make it a toggle so that you can re-enable them.
The rest doesn't make much sense. Also I believe that saying "put them back like they were in Skulltag" is silly because Skulltag always had different menus.

I too am against this suggestion. I'm happy with the menus and prefer them to how they used to be.
That makes sense.Gez wrote:or alternatively make it a toggle so that you can re-enable them.

Re: Older Menus
The only thing I agree is to move the "disable GL system" option to the bottom. Like the OP (and a few people here it seems), it is too prone to be selected by accident, being the first option. There were several times where I chose this by accident as I whizzed through the menus.

Re: Older Menus
I'm happy with it being at the top because it kind of makes sense. If you consider it a hierarchy, the most important thing is whether the GL system is enabled or not.
In saying that, I have no strong objection to it being lower down. A reversible toggle like Gez suggested would remove the problem regardless of where the menu option was though.
