darken, rampage and halflife texture bug

with the pwads darken, rampage and halflife doom2 there is some wierd bug with the textures,
they are always changing and warping, is there a way to resolve this?

Anything like this one, where the textures "scale" themselves? It might be an issue in your driver settings.

If rampage is Doom Rampage Edition I can tel you what is happening.

This WADs uses texture names from some Strife animations. And in this particular case the author was just stupid because he noticed the problems himself but was incapable of solving them (not that it surprises me considering the 'quality' of the project.)

But I still need links to the WADs. The only 'darken' I know is 'The Darkening' and that doesn't have this problem.

it is not the texture scaling bug as in that other forum. the correct textures are not displayed and they warp to other textures, i uploaded a few screenshots

If you can't give me links to the WADs I'll tag this as 'can't fix' because I have to assume that it is the known incompatibility between ZDoom's newer ANIMATED lump and the texture definitions in the WAD.

That WAD looks perfectly normal to me.

Darken runs fine for me too in GZDoom and ZDoom. However using Skulltag the textures do what you describe ... are you sure you're not using Skulltag by mistake?

im still not sure what causes it to do this exactly but i know it has something to do with the fact that i use the freedoom texturepack. i guess its not a big deal, i just made a new config to use when i play darkening that doesn't autoload the freedoom textures.
