Fog in only the lower part of a sector

Post by Ixnatifual »

For example, a pit where there's no fog at the top portion, but if you look into it, the bottom is obscured by fog. Should look pretty neat, methinks. I tried messing around a bit with SetFade and 3d floors, but no luck. Is this possible to do?

I could see this possible with having an abundance of translucent 3D Objects, but the way I am seeing it - it isn't a quick job.

Solarsnowfall came up with that idea in Nov 2005 and made a test map, insanotest.wad

and also applied this idea to the blue column.
