Re: GZDoom won't start
This is not a bug, rather a tech issue. Your OpenGL version is simply too old. You will need to download version 1.8.10 which still has OpenGL 2 support.
You can try updating your drivers or other suggestions as posted in the following linked thread, but if they don't work, you're either going to have to stay with the GZDoom 1.8 series or upgrade your GPU.

Re: GZDoom won't start
Thanks for the quick reply. I searched manually and couldn't find which GPU driver version is the latest (my current is 8.10.15. from 2011). I have the Intel Driver Updater, which I don't trust. Also, are there any major changes between the 1.8.10 version and 2.0.05 one?

As far as compatibility with custom content goes, no there are not.PerilousPear wrote:Also, are there any major changes between the 1.8.10 version and 2.0.05 one?
However, from the rendering front, 2.0.05 has an OpenGL subsystem rewrite, and is said to be faster on modern computers than its comparable 1.8.10 counterpart.
These releases are a year old, however, and neither version will have the latest Git version updates. But for most of what's out there, they both work fine.
