Why not have projectiles contain the obituary code rather/along with the monster that spawned it. That way instead of having to use the same obituary for a monster with multiple missile attacks (And some unique player weapons), you could have an Obituary in the missles Decorate code so you could have a wider variety or obituaries.
Also, would it be possible to select which projectiles are spawned by A_Mushroom?

Re: Projectile Obituaries and A_Mushroom
Possibly, but that one cuts both ways. I have a bunch of different monsters that use a variety of attacks based around the same custom missiles. With your suggestion, I'd have to redefine all of them to use a different missile. Just think of the Baron and Hell knight - same missile, different monster.Zeg-Vok wrote:you could have an Obituary in the missles Decorate code so you could have a wider variety or obituaries.

I wasnt going to get too deep into that suggestion as I didnt want to make it sound like I was telling anyone what to do. But I never said that the monster obituaries should be removed, as when the projectile has no obituary, it Would(Should?) default back to the monster's obituary like when a monster kills a player with its Melee attack and uses the default obituaries when the Hitobituary isn't present.
