particles

Hi

just wondering if particles could be made round and always face the camera? like in quake2? kinda look stupid square on opengl mode.

Both have been mentioned before. I'm not sure about the facing-angle, but Graf did say that he would probably look at using a sprite based particle like ZdoomGL does (which makes them rounder and better looking) at some point but it isn't high on the priority list.

come across this yesterday when trying to sort out another problem i was having with quake2. and it kinda looks like GZDoom's are just defined as squares (well they are:P)

and thought about GZDoom.

when the new partial system is done, maybe we could define the point sprites in the decaldef? and that way have them customisable :)

More like PARTIDEF, or something (un)clever like that.
