[r757] GZDoom Crash : When launching map from DB2 [r1245]

Basically don't know if it is driver related or something else but ever since 10.2 and up GZDoom crashes with a very fatal error during loading..

The Problem:

When I try to launch a custom heretic map from DB2, GDZdoom crashes before even seeing the level.

Diagnose:

Download my custom pk3 here
unpack the .pk3 and load a map from the map folder.

• Use GZDoom: Heretic (UDMF) as map format
  Use brg_h1_res.pk3 as map resource
  My defaults paramaters for testing are : -iwad "%WP" -skill "%S" -file "%AP" "%F" +map %L %NM
  Test the map (F9)

Result is that GZDoom crashes.

Workaround:

Save the map in DB2
Use the launch params in a GDZoom shortcut to load the map
Works fine

It almost seems like you're loading some temporarily extracted file....

That's entirely normal. It's run from DB2, and DB2 creates a temporary file with the map (and just the map). This means that you don't need to save before testing, by the way.

No. I don't get a crash and your crash log didn't give me any clues. The call trace was almost totally useless. I couldn't trace it to any specific action.

I have created a virtual machine with vmware player and continue to work from there since it nearly solves all me problem with ATi drivers.

Nothing can be done here currently, as it appears to be a driver issue.
