I'll get some pics up in a minute but I wanted to post this before the final version went "live".
At the start of my Burghead mod, all lighting modes except Doom have major problems with sprite lighting.

I have messed with ambient light levels and seen no improvement. The only thing that I did notice was that the effect was slightly different depending on which order the modes were cycled throough - almost as if GZdoom was remembering something from one mode to the next.

Actually, not just sprites, everything. This is map04 of Doom2 with nothing else loaded in Bright and Dark mode. The player glow effect is like he is carrying a 1,000,000 watt lamp around with him.
