Came across this issue when I used 3d floors over sloped sectors. The wall along the slope has HOM where the 3d floor is. The screenshot and sample .wad can explain it better than I can.
I found it strange that it occurs on one wall, but not the other.
I don't know if it can be fixed or not, but I'm reporting it anyway. If it can't, I can do a simple workaround in the map to deal with it.

- both sides are the same in the editor, but ingame there is a HOM along the wall where the 3d floor is on the left.

Your 3D-floor overlaps with the slope in a way that one end of the linedef is completely visible and the other not at all. That is a problematic construct. When dealing with slopes it is best to make sure that 3D floors neither overlap each other or intersect with the floor or ceiling of the sector.
