High res png weapon sprites?
I recall there was a way with Gzdoom to have high res pngs as weapon frames, but I lost the example I had. What's the way of accomplishing this?

The 35fps I didn't mind so much as how much the effort was wasted on graphics that didn't look very good in the first place - as long as proper care is taken when ripping to make sure that the angling is accurate, the contrast is set to a good level, and there are no jagged edges, then that'll go a long way to justify the size of the wad file.
And if you're not already doing so, I recommend using a PK3 file instead of a WAD, in the interest of keeping sizes down a bit.

I thought there's no compression available for the PK3's. They are nothing but ZIP files, right? I tried to pack files in ZIP and then rename it to PK3 and it worked. But when I used any level of compression or password, GZDoom rejected it with a note in the console.wildweasel wrote:And if you're not already doing so, I recommend using a PK3 file instead of a WAD, in the interest of keeping sizes down a bit.
