Yes, Again. on r300 everything was in order.

Actually, it's even worse than it was before. With the previous bug, some things would be on the 3D floors. With this version it seems that nothing placed on a 3D floor in the map editor will stay there when the map starts. eg My Burghead Inca HQ has everything from the upper floor and attic sitting on the ground floor in this version.

Grrrrr. I really, really hate that code! No matter what I try, some things just won't work with it...

Why, oh why didn't id code it so that spawned things get proper floor height information? This omission is one gigantic nightmare.

Yes, it would. Massively. This has been abused countless times to hide items in very small holes.

Sounds like it's time for a compatibility flag. One that might even default to on, and would have to be specified in the mapinfo to disable it... well, the menu option could also disable it but then you'd have to restart the map anyway...
